A-Cee-Cee

A-Cee-Cee

So, sometime in the past decade, the Atlantic Coast Conference expanded. The original seven from 1953 has grown to 15. But it was eight teams for most of my early life. And small box TV sets with rabbit ears were meant for classroom viewing on ACC Friday, NC’s own Superbowl. School children didn’t take tests and most office workers didn’t work when the round orange sphere was heaved up at noon for the first jump ball. Play was underway. Fast forward to 2015. My newspaper headlines told me tournament play began in Greensboro on Tuesday and would end on Saturday. No final game on Sunday; hard to believe! For a full tournament ticket holder, there would be a lot of games and an uncomfortable back side. Have you ever watched seven games in a row? (Not on your couch?) Let’s just admit, “A-Cee-Cee” means men’s basketball in March. Follow the game results here:  http://www.theacc.com/sport/m-baskbl
